Citation: Sandvik, H. (2005) Climatic variability and the marine ecosystem: a comparative study of seabirds’ life-history responses. – Talk given at the 2005 Annual Meeting of the British Ecological Society in Hatfield. Abstract: Many demographic parameters are correlated to climatic variability. The causes are often poorly understood, partly because most studies centre on the population level. Interspecific comparative studies are needed to understand why species differ in their responses. I conducted phylogenetic-comparative analyses of seabirds in order to explain those differences.
